Kushtagi: Two persons were killed and another critically injured in a horrific collision between a Swift car and a container lorry on the national Highway here in the early hours of Tuesday, June 13.

Both the deceased were occupants of the ill-fated car. However, their identity is yet to be ascertained. The driver of the car is said to be in a critical condition.

According to sources, the car from Vijayapura hit the rear of the container lorry at high speed. The container lorry dragged the car that got stuck to its rear end due to the high impact,  to a considerable distance.

PSI Mounesh Rathod visited the accident spot for an inspection.

The latest incident has raised concerns about the road safety.  It may be recalled that 6 laborers had been killed on the same highway in a collision between a car and a lorry on May 28.
