Kuvempu University 33rd annual convocation: Three to be awarded honorary doctorates

Kuvempu University is all set to host its prestigious convocation program this Saturday, July 22 where the institution will bestow honorary doctorate degrees upon three individuals for their remarkable achievements in various fields.
The first awardee, Mr. Sadananda Shetty, hails from Udupi and is widely recognized as an esteemed educationist and sports administrator. As the founder of the Sridevi Education Trust, which is affiliated with the esteemed Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and Mangalore University, Mr. Shetty’s relentless dedication to sports and culture has earned him this prestigious honor.
The second honorary doctorate recipient is Pandit Rajaguru Guruswami Kalikeri, originating from Kalikeri village in Bijapur district. Pandit Kalikeri has left an indelible mark on the world of literature with his renowned works, including “Ganabharati,” “Bhava Bhagavad Gita,” and several poetry collections.
The third recipient, Mr. M. Chandrappa, originally from Davangere district, has made significant strides in the realm of rural development. As a politician and founder of multiple educational institutions, including the Devaraj Aras Education Group in Chitradurga district, he has dedicated his life to upliftment and progress in rural areas.
