Kuwait imprisoned Shanker Poojary on his way home

Udupi: Shanker Poojary (40) was incarcerated in Kuwait jail for carrying banned tablets has returned back to India and is on his way to his at Kundapur from Mumbai on Sunday January 20th.
Mr Poojary had taken the banned tablets from India to Kuwait on the request of a colleague and was caught on arrival at Kuwait Airport. Since the colleague refused to take any responsibility in connection to the tablets, Poojary ended up being incarcerated for a period of 7 months and was released later due to the continuous effort of various organizations. He was released at Kuwait airport on Jan 15th.
Due to this debacle, Mr Poojary has returned back to India after losing his job at Agriculture and Food Products Company where he was earlier employed.
