KV Principal, accused of sexually harassing student, transferred to Karwar

Bengaluru/Karwar: Kumar Thakur, Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Hebbal, Bengaluru who was accused of sexually harassing a student has been reportedly transferred to Karwar as per a decision taken by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghatan.
Meanwhile, an internal probe is on in the matter and is said to be complete by this week.
Sources say that the Principal was arrested after a 17-year-old student said that he had made sexually-coloured remarks to her; however, he was later released on bail.
In the meantime, Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has summoned the Commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghatan, New Delhi to appear before the Commission on February 17.
