KYC upload for ration cards: Notice

Udupi: In accordance to the National Food Security Act (NFSA), all card holders (BPL, AAY, APL) who procure food must freshly upload E-KYC of all members at the ration shops, informed the Deputy Commissioner.

When uploading the information into the software, the senior female member of the family with the ration card, must be appointed as the head of the family. Along with new head of the family (senior female member), the details of all the other members can be uploaded including information regarding the caste (SC/ST/other).

Opportunity for 3 months

The opportunity for updating the information is available from Sep 11 to the end of November. From December onward, the food for those ration card holders who’s KYC has not be uploaded will be withheld. Later, only after the necessary details have been uploaded will the food for the next month will be released, informed the DC through a release.
