Muzaffarnagar: A 22-year-old labourer was allegedly beaten to death by two men at a village here after a dispute between them over payment of work, police said today.

The labourer, identified as Pintu, was hired for work by the accused Ajit Singh and Samooh Singh at Bhorakala village.

Pintu’s family members have claimed that he was beaten to death by Ajit and Samooh after an argument broke out between them over his work payment, police said.

The body has been sent for post mortem and a case has been registered against the two men, who are since absconding, police said.

Meanwhile, security has been tightened in the village and extra police deployed in a precautionary measure, they said.
