Labourer dies after falling into drain

Bengaluru: A labourer succumbed to injuries after falling into an under-construction drain in Cheluvappa Garden, KP Agrahara, west Benglauru on Friday.

The deceased labourer hailed from Bihar and worked at a site near the drain. His identification is still unknown. He accidently fell into the under constructed drain on Thursday evening and was rushed to Victoria Hospital by his colleagues.

According to HM Ravindra, former corporate and BJP leader, the BBMP had taken up drain work under the Nagorathana scheme with no safety measures in place.

Police said the construction worker belonged to Bihar and worked at a site near the drain. He fell into the drain on Thursday evening and was rushed to Victoria Hospital by his colleagues.
