Labourer falls to his death from a building
Building under construction in Kulashekar

Mangaluru: A labourer who was working on the centering of a building under construction near Kulashekar dairy fell to his death on Friday. The deceased is identified as Mahabala Gowda (47), a resident of Arikepadavu in Muduperar.
The deceased was working on the centering on the second floor of the building under construction when he lost his balance and landed on the first floor. The labourers in working in the building immediately rushed the grievously injured Mahabala to a private hospital in the city, however the doctors declared him to be dead on arrival. The deceased is survived by his wife and two sons.
Kankanady city police have visited the spot, conducted investigation and registered a case.
The deceased has been working as a day wage worker and mason since many years. He was working at the under construction building in Kulashekar since two months.
Mahabala’s death has come as a major blow to the family and presently, Sri Devi youth association of Muduperar has come forward to provide assistance to the family.
