Lady found raped and murdered in Manipal

Udupi: A corpse of a girl was found near Sagri in Manipal on Sunday, March 10. It is presumed that she must have been allegedly raped and murdered.

The woman found the mortal remains of the victim aged between 18-25 years, beside the railway track and thus the incident came to light. The victim lay half-naked and there is suspicion that she might have been subjected to sexual assault and then murdered.

The location has been visited by SP Nisha James and Manipal police. Further investigation is being conducted.
