Mangaluru: The corpse of a lady found on the beach of Killeria Nagar near Mukkacheri within Ullal police station limits on Saturday, August 24, has been identified after a day by the cops.

The deceased is identified as Prerana Kheni (23), daughter of late Ashok Kheni and Asha Kheni from Margao in Goa. Mother and daughter duo were staying at Ashoknagar in Mangaluru since a year. Asha Kheni worked as a housemaid while Prerana was unemployed.

It is suspected that the deceased must have committed suicide elsewhere and her body must have washed ashore at Killeria Nagar beach. Ullal police have registered a case in this regard.
