Lakshadeepotsava festivities at Kukke Subrahmanya begin today

Subrahmanya: Lakshadeepotsava and devotional singing (Kunita Bhajane) as part of the Chamundi Shashti Mahotsava at Sri Kukke Subrahmanya Temple will be observed on December 12.
This year’s Chamundi Shashti Mahotsava commenced on Sunday and continued through Monday night with the grand procession of Bandi Utsava carrying the idol on a divine chariot. On the night of December 12, a grand Chandramandala Rathotsava featuring the five-peak chariot will be the main attraction.
Lakhs of diyas (earthen lamps) will light the streets along the Rathabeedi to Kashikatte. Upon arrival at Kashikatte, a grand Ganesha puja will be performed in the presence of Lord Mahaganapati.
Mysuru Ramachandra Achar and his team are conducting the devotional singing program.
‘Urulu Seve’ begins today:
Following the Lakshadeepotsava and Chandramandala Rathotsava on December 12, the Urulu Seve commences. Devotees continue this traditional service to the deity until the culmination of Chamundi Shashti Mahotsava.
In preparation for the Urulu Seve, the street starting from near Kumaradhara, has already been cleaned on one side of the road, with additional arrangements made to facilitate the Seve. Traffic diversion has been put in place along the route where devotees roll on the street.
