Bagalkot: A 16 year old girl was raped and brutally murdered by a youth, Lokesh on Wednesday night at a Lambani Thanda in Mudhola of Bagalkot. The youth and the murdered girl belong to the same community and the accused killed after pouring kerosene oil to burn her.
The incident was occurred when the deceased was alone with her younger sister in her home. The accused was taken into custody by Lokapura police for further inquiry. The member of Lambani community in the area have urged the police to take action on the youth immediately.
