Land conversion and acquisition clearance process in less than thirty days: Shettar

Bengaluru: Minister for Large and Medium Scale Industries, Jagadish Shettar on Thursday, February 28, said that the state government is discussing to amend provisions of the Land Reforms Act to reduce the duration for land acquisition and conversion from the present 60 days to 30 days.
Shettar was speaking at an annual conference of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) Karnataka State Council.
Shettar also stated that the government will also be introducing a new industrial policy to assuage the problems faced by the manufacturing sector referring to the statements by the government in the recently held Invest Karnataka summit at Hubballi where the state government signed MoUs worth Rs 72,000 crores with companies.
