Land Denotification: Karnataka High Court to Hear BSY’s Writ Petition on August 21

Bengaluru: Karnataka high court is expected to hear Karnataka state BJP president BS Yeddyurappa’s (BSY) writ petition on August 21. Former chief minister, BSY registered the petition to urge the high court to cancel two FIRs registered against him by Karnataka Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) recently.

ACB registered two FIRs against BSY on alleged scam inconnection with denotification of Shivarama Karantha layout in the state capital during his tenure as chief minister. Following, a notice from ACB which asked BSY to appear for questioning, BSY filed a writ petition before the high court and stated the FIR registered is not valid and all allegations made against him are wrong. Former chief minister also urged the court to cancel the FIRs registered by ACB inconnection with the denotification case.
