Landslide: Honnavara National Highway-69 closed for vehicular traffic

‎Karwar:‎‎ The Honavara – Mulbagal National Highway 69 has been closed for vehicular traffic due to a landslide on Saturday.

A part of the road slid off at a turn near the Sule Murki due to the incessant rains that continue to lash the district. As a safety precaution, the district deputy commissioner (DC) has ordered fro the closure of the road until further orders.

Buses going to Shivamogga via Honnavar-Gerusoppa will have to ply via Honnavar-Chandavar-Kumta-Badala-Siddapura or Kumta- Katagala- Sirsi routes.‎

Siddapura police rushed to the site of the landslide and made arrangement to divert the traffic.
