Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has announced plans to distribute laptops as an incentive to top-performing students from government schools in the SSLC exams held in the 2023-24 academic year.

Laptops will be awarded to district and taluk-level toppers who scored the highest marks in the SSLC exams. The top three students with the highest marks from each district will be eligible to receive these laptops. To facilitate this, the government has floated a tender worth Rs 3.96 crore.

In total, 810 students are expected to receive laptops as part of this initiative. The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board has instructed district deputy directors to submit the list of top scorers eligible for the incentive.
