Last Rites of Former Karnataka Chief Minister N Dharam Singh Scheduled at 4 PM Today

Kalburgi: Last rites of former Karnataka state minister N Dharam Singh are scheduled to be held at 04 PM today, on July 28 with all state honours at his native village, Nelogi located in Jevargi taluk of Kalburgi district. The funeral will be held as per the rituals of Rajput community and all arrangements are being made for the ceremony in the village.

The body was kept at NV Ground in Kalburgi for the people to pay their last respect to the deceased and the ground witnessed a huge crowd of people, politicians, Congress party workers and others since Thursday evening. The body is expected to be brought to Nelogi from NV Ground for public viewing and last rites.

The police have made elaborate security arrangements in Nelogi, Jevargi and Kalburgi to ensure peace and security. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, state cabinet ministers and other dignitaries are expected to take part in the funeral ceremony.  

Former chief minister, N Dharam Singh was died on Thursday morning at a private hospital in the state capital following multi organ failure. His body was brought to Kalburgi from Bengaluru during evening hours of July 27.
