Belagavi: MLA Basangouda Patil Yatnal has made yet another forecast about leadership change in the State government.
According to his new prediction, the change will occur before the results of the by-election to the Assembly are declared – April 30.
He made this statement to reporters at the Gandhi Bhavan here before a meeting of the Panchamasaali Lingayat community.
Responding to a query whether he will go to Delhi again, Yatnal replied, “There is no question of going to Delhi as the leadership in the State will change after April 17.”
“Those who are ineligible to become directors of corporations and boards or have entered the party recently are vying to become the chief minister. If I become the chief minister, I will govern the State on the model of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath,” he added.
“Jalamrutyunjaya Swamiji became a social leader after having performed a padayatra of more than 712 kilometres. We do not need a swami who has cashew sweets with the chief minister,” Yatnal mocked.
