Leopard locked up in house rescued

Hassan: The forest department officials rescued a female leopard aged around three years which strayed into a cattle shed at Byadarahalli near Shantigrama in Hassan taluk on Saturday.
As per the sources the house owner, Shivanna, saw a leopard entering the house and locked it up before informing forest officials who rescued the big cat. The house was used as a godown to dump coconuts, its husk and shell.
The forest officials who rushed to the spot on receiving the information, were able to sight the leopard inside the house and then rescued it.
