Leopard preying on domestic animals caught, released in dense forest

Koratagere: A leopard that had reportedly attacked domestic animals in and around the Cheelenahalli and Akkirampura villages of Holavanahalli jurisdiction has been successfully rescued by the Koratagere Forest Department officials.

Earlier, people of the villages had requested the officials to catch the leopard, that was harming domestic animals.

Forest officials, led by Zonal Forest Officer H M Suresh, got to action and planted a cage for trapping the wild beast. On Thursday midnight, when the leopard had come in search of food, it got trapped in the cage. Later, it was released in the dense forest.
