This activity is being conducted as the second phase of ‘Ashwamedham’ programme which in an important attempt to identify leprosy patients still existing in the society and provide them with effective treatment. Trained volunteers are visiting door to door and conducting inspection for skin diseases regarding leprosy. This inspection is being conducted by a team made of one Asha worker and one male volunteer. 1634 teams have been created in the district with this aim.
