Mangaluru: District Commissioner Shashi Kumar on Sunday, January 3 said appealed to the people of the city for cooperation with the Police department to make Kudla a safe, secure, and peaceful place.
Taking to Twitter the newly-appointed SP wrote, ” Appeal to people of M’lore for cooperation with the Police department. in making M’lore safe, secured, and peaceful place for all law-abiding people. Let this year be eventful and memorable to everyone. Post this Covid 19 pandemic. Let new beginning to life start towards better times.”
Shashi Kumar took charge of Vikash Kumar Vikash on January 1 and said he and his staff members will respond openly to concerns related to drugs, ragging, and other issues of students, who are in good numbers in Mangaluru.
Kumar had also said steps will be taken to strengthen the police beat system, which has been affected following COVID-19 when the police have been involved with other departments in tracing COVID-19 positive and other non-core policing work.
