Licence will be cancelled for violating the rules: TR Suresh

Mangaluru: Mangaluru City Commissioner, TR Suresh has said that he asked the registrar of cooperative societies and city corporation commissioner, recommending cancellation of licences granted to these two entities.
On June 22, Police raided a hotel at Pumpwell and a gaming centre at Bejai. During the raid at Pumpwell, the police arrested six girls. Commissioner said that the licence will be rejected for violating the rules.
Police took over 50 persons into custody and recovered Rs 1.2 lakh was from them. Commissioner said that the registrar of cooperative societies has been requested to cancel the trading licence granted to this establishment.
Suresh said that he has information that gambling is taking place in the name of skill games at several centres across the city. He added that as the young people fall prey to such vices, he has instructed the police to keep close vigil on such centres and take action as and when necessary.
