Light rain likely in some parts of Karavali coast from today

Bengaluru: Karnataka witnessed a dry spell during the 24-hour period ending on Monday morning, with temperatures soaring high in some parts of the state. According to IMD, Karwar recorded the highest temperature of 37.1 degrees Celsius, while Bagalkote recorded the lowest temperature of 14 degrees Celsius during the same period.
However, some parts of the coastal region are likely to experience light rainfall until Wednesday morning. The districts of Dakshina Kannada-Udupi, including Kasaragod, are expected to witness cloudy weather with some showers on March 14 and 15.
Mangaluru recorded a temperature of 35 degrees Celsius on March 13 and it is expected to rise to 36 degrees Celsius on March 14 and 15. The weather is expected to be cloudy and sunny. However, the temperature is likely to increase and reach 38 degrees Celsius on March 16, 17, and 18, with a possibility of cloudy weather and rainfall.
With intense sunshine prevailing throughout the day on Monday, the temperature continued to soar in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.
Meanwhile, the authorities have advised people to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions to avoid heat-related illnesses.
