Lingayat seer facing POCSO case meets lawyer, police ask him to return to Mutt

Chitradurga: Sri Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru of the Murugha Mutt, who is facing the charges under the POCSO case for allegedly sexually harassing high school girls, was asked to return to Mutt by the police.
As per the sources, the police had visited the Mutt on Monday, August 29 to meet the seer. As they got to know that seer was not in the Mutt, an intimation was sent to the Rural Police Station. On credible information, the police stopped the seer at the Bankapura highway and asked him to return to the Mutt.
Meanwhile, addressing the media, a member of the advisory committee of the Murugha Mutt Anandappa said, “The seer has left to Haveri to meet the lawyers in relation to the case. He will return by noon”.
