Mangaluru: Bajrang Dal district coordinator Puneeth Attavar on Friday demanded a high-level probe into the recent lip-lock video of private college students in the city.
Speaking to the reporters, Puneeth Attavar said, ” The viral video showed a boy and a girl, both in their uniforms, engrossed in a lip-lock in a private apartment. Earlier, a video of a few girls indulging in street fighting had gone viral. Mangalore is known as the education hub of Karnataka but incidents like these tarnish the city’s image.”
“There is a hidden drug and sex mafia behind this. A high-level investigation is necessary and strict action must be taken against the concerned,” he added.
As per police sources, a case has been registered by the city police against eight students for their involvement in the lip-lock competition at a private apartment in the city, a video of which had gone viral.
The students were booked for alleged offenses punishable under Sections 376, 354, 354 (C), and 120 (B) of the IPC and different sections of the POCSO and IT Acts, police sources said.
