Lockdown 3.0: Government permits weddings with limited guests

The nationwide lockdown in India has been extended for the third time, but the new guidelines for the lockdown, has allowed marriage related gatherings with certain restrictions.
The big fat Indian wedding industry was in crisis as the Covid-19 outbreak has forced postponements of weddings across the country. Wedding planners, hotels, caterers were badly affected due to 45-50% of weddings being rescheduled to after June,
But, aper the new MHA guidelines, the wedding ceremonies can be held but the organisers or the hosts must ensure that there are only 50 guests at max and they maintain proper social distancing at all times.
Although, even with the restrictions in place, a few marriages took place with social distancing norms followed by the guest. There were reports of people holding online marriages due to travel restrictions.
Also, new guidelines allow gatherings at funerals where 20 people are allowed. However, officials said that the gatherings will not be allowed in containment zones of the country.
