The States are Maharashtra, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu.

The central government had suggested to the States that they should interact amongst themselves and decide on allowing the movement of people between them.

In less than 24 hours on May 18, 84 new cases have been reported in Karnataka, with the total number of cases in the State rising to 1,231.

Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa stated that all State government buses would be allowed to travel in all districts of the State except in containment and red zones, adding that only 30 people can travel in a bus.
