Lockdown enforcement in the state must be taken seriously: DV Sadananda Gowda

Bengaluru: While the country is fighting the second wave of COVID-19, Karnataka announced 14-day lockdown-like enforcement till May 12.
Talking about the imposition of a full lockdown, Union Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said that there’s a need to think about it seriously, given the situation today. The minister also favoured Maharashtra-like lockdown and claimed that cases in Mumbai fell from 10,000 to 2,000.
On providing oxygen to the state, the minister informed that he has apprised Minister Piyush Goyal with regards to oxygen needs in Karnataka.
He further informed that 975 metric tons of oxygen will be sent to the state today (May 6).
