Mangaluru: After three days of complete lockdown, as police tightened their grip on people’s movements, district in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary gave a one-time relaxation from 6 am to 3 am for people who wanted to by essential needs. That brief relaxation seems to have helped many in the district as people thronged the markets and super bazaars of the city early in the morning on Tuesday, March 31.
The markets in the city witnessed a large number of people. However, social distancing was also maintained and people were seen sitting in the chair a few meters apart from each other maintaining the queue.
Fish markets in the city too witnessed a large number of people.
Meanwhile, in a few super-markets, only 10 people were allowed to enter the shop at a time.
