Geetha Shivarajkumar who has been named in Congress’ first list of seven candidates to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Karnataka would be eager to avenge the electoral loss of her late father Sarekoppa Bangarappa, former Chief Minister to B S Yediyurappa in Shikaripura constituency.
Geetha, who happens to be Kannada actor Shivarajkumar’s wife will be contesting from Shivamogga (Shimoga Constituency) and reportedly she has rented a house in Shivamogga and bought a car for campaigning.
Notably, the registration number of this car has caught the attention of many as it is the same number as her father’s lucky car. It is said that she would be campaigning with this car.
Sarekoppa Bangarappa had bought a Tata Safari car, bearing registration number 1179 after he became the chief minister of Karnataka. Geetha has applied and got the same number for the car, a Mahindra XUV700 bought by her. Notably, Sarekoppa’s son Madhu Bangarappa also uses the same number for his cars.
It remains to be seen whether the number of car that gave Bangarappa the title of unbeatable sardar will bring good luck to Geetha.
Geetha will officially begin her campaigning from Monday. The activists have already expressed their happiness and are gearing up to welcome the candidate. Geetha Shivarajkumar who had contested on the JD(S) ticket in 2014, will contest on a Congress ticket this time.
