Lone survivor of mass suicide by a family dies

Nelyadi: The lone survivor of Babu Gowda’s family from Aladka near Hallingeri in Kokkada village, who committed mass suicide hurt by the suffering of their son who was an endo victim has been found dead. Dayananda Gowda was found dead at a bus stop within Surathkal Police station limits in Mangaluru.

He was Babu Gowda’s son, who had left his house two years back and was staying in Mangaluru. He used to act as a transgender and used to mix around in their group. He used to work in a cycle balance team by dancing and cycling.

Two years back, Babu Gowda had pushed his endo victim son Sadananda into a lake in front of his house and committed mass suicide with his wife Gangamma. Babu’s another son Nityananda who had left the house the very night was found dead at another lake nearby.

The mortal remains of Dayananda Gowda s brought to Kokkada by 4 transgender people when the locals informed Dharmasthala police of this. On the occasion, since the post mortem of the corpse had not been conducted, the corpse was sent back to Surathkal police station in an ambulance within whose limits the corpse had been first found, informed Dharmasthala SI to the media. According to the available information, Surathkal police have registered a case of unnatural death and the corpse has been kept at the morgue in Wenlock hospital.
