Lorry-bike accident: Bike rider dies

Uppinangady: A bike rider dies at the hospital after the bike he was riding on was hit by a lorry at Valalu in Bajatur village near Puttur along NH 75 on Saturday evening. The deceased is identified as Ganesh (24) son of Eshwar Moolya, originally from Bantwal and presently living at Angaraje near Kedila village.

The deceased was going on the bike from Nelyadi towards Uppinangady when all of a sudden, a lorry turned towards a side road which led to the accident. It is said. Although the grievously injured Ganesh was admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru, his life could not be saved.

Puttur traffic police have registered a case in this connection based on a complaint by Nilappa, a relative of the deceased.
