Lorry crushes a car, miraculous escape for driver

Kasaragod: A car was crushed by a lorry in an accident here at Kasargod-Kanhangad highway on Friday, September 21st. The man driving the car however had a miraculous escape from being crushed to death. The man, who got trapped between the lorry and his car, was rescued after an hour-long operation here.

Incident synopsis

On Friday afternoon around 3:30 pm, the lorry driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into an electric pole, and losing its balance rolled over on to a car. The man driving the car, identified as Khaleel, got trapped inside the car and rescued after an hour-long operation by the fire personnel and the locals. The unconscious lorry driver was also rescued.

During the rescue operation, a crane was used to lift the toppled lorry. The injured driver has been shifted to nearby private hospital
