A lottery seller from Kerala delivered a 6 crore bumper lottery ticket to its buyer and is being praised for her honesty.
Smija K Mohan, lottery seller sold the winning ticket to Chandran. She recalls that it was a Sunday and that she had 12 unsold bumper tickets. She posted about the tickets in the WhatsApp group of her regular lottery ticket buyers.
She added that no one was willing to buy the entire 12 but then Chandran contacted her and asked her to send pictures of tickets. He then called her back with numbers of his choice.
When Smija was notified about the winning number, she decided to hand over the jackpot tickets to its rightful owner as soon as she could.
Smija along with her husband started the lottery stall in 2011 as a part-time endeavor and had five employees. Earlier they were working with the government press at Kakkanad but after losing their jobs, they decided to run the business by themselves.
