Vinod Kumar, father of a Hindu girl who is a victim of alleged love jihad case, pleaded for his daughter’s rescue from the notorious criminal Muhammad Ashfaq during an emotional media interaction on Thursday.

Speaking to the press, Vinod Kumar, teary-eyed, recounted the ordeal and appealed to the authorities for help. “I urge the community leaders and the police to rescue my daughter from Ashfaq,” he implored.

Vinod Kumar revealed that on June 6, he became aware of his daughter’s relationship with Ashfaq. To protect her, he had sent her to a relative’s house in Ullal. However, Ashfaq tracked her down and abducted her on June 30. Despite numerous attempts, Vinod Kumar has been unable to bring his daughter back. He called on the Karnataka government and Mangalore police to assist him in this distressing situation.

His daughter, a BCA student at Srinivas College in Pandeshwar, had to discontinue her education due to financial constraints after her second year. Subsequently, she worked in Kasaragod for two months, during which she likely met Muhammad Ashfaq, Vinod Kumar speculated.

Ashfaq allegedly informed Vinod Kumar’s son that he had eloped with the girl. According to locals, Ashfaq has already been married twice and faces over sixteen criminal cases. Vinod Kumar demanded strict action from the police to apprehend Ashfaq and ensure justice is served.
