Bengaluru: A Madarasa teacher was arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a minor boy since a year.

The accused has been identified as Mohammed Zubair from South Bengaluru.

Zubair was an Arabic instructor since four years.

The police have informed that the victim has complained of being sexually assaulted for over a year now and of being threatened if he revealed this to anyone.

After the victim complained and narrated the incident to his family members, his father filed a complaint to the local police.

The police have booked Zubair under POCSO Act and various other sections of the Indian Penal Code. The suspect was produced before the magistrate and later remanded to judicial custody.

Zubair has denied all the charges and even the management of the madrasa denied the allegations made by the victim and his parents.
