Madhwaraj lays foundation stone for a new market

Udupi: Minister Pramod Madhwaraj laid the foundation stone for the new market yard in Santhekatte here on Wednesday.

The new market setup at Santhekatte junction will be built in a month’s time at a cost of Rs.1 crore. Parking lot around the market area will also be built. Around 1.05 acre of land has been devoted to the new market place.

Madhwaraj also inaugurated the new Municipal IDSMT Commercial Complex at the Santhekatte junction on Kallianpur road. The building has been built at a cost of Rs 151.60 Crore.

Udupi CMC President Meenakshi Madhav Bannanje, Gopalapura Ward Councilor Chandrakanth Naik, CMC Commissioner Manjunathaiah, municipal officials and others were present.
