Madhya Pradesh CM offers prayer at Cheluvanarayana Swamy temple in Melkote

Mandya: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivaraj Singh Chouhan on Friday offered prayers at the famous Cheluvanarayana Swamy temple in Mandya’s Melkote town and sought blessings of the deity to fight the Covid-19 pandemic in his state.

He was accompanied by his wife Sadhna Singh and two family members.

Speaking to reporters after visiting the shrine, Chouhan told that he has sought the blessings of Cheluvanarayana Swamy to fight the Covid-19 in Madhya Pradesh.

State Municipal Administration Minister Narayan Gowda accompanied Chouhan and his family to the temple and joined them in the prayers.

The age-old temple is built on rocky hills of Yadavagiri on the banks of the Cauvery river.

Before arriving here Chouhan on Thursday visited the Chinna Jeeyar Swamy ashram in Telangana.
