Madikeri: Hailstones create more problem for rain-battered villagers

Madikeri: Villagers and farmers at Shaniwarpet here suffered even more damages to their crops and property after it rained hailstones on Friday, February 19.
The residents of the village were reeling under the untimely rains that poured in the first week of January.
The hailstones started raining suddenly destroying most of the chilly plants mostly grown in these areas.
The unpredictability of nature has caused terror in the farmers here who are saddened by their losses.
Hailstones rain were reported from other parts of the Kodagu district where the continued to be cloudy.
