Madikeri: A video of actor-cum-director Huccha Venkat being assaulted by a group of people for allegedly misbehaving in public is going viral on social media platforms. The mob later handed Venkat to the city police.

The incident took place near the KSRTC depot at Madikeri on Thursday evening. Venkat who seemed to be in an inebriated state reportedly slapped a youth named Dileep without any provocation and later damaged his car.

Irked by his misbehavior few locals thrashed Venkat and later handed him to the police.

Notably, few people who noticed the drama unfold thought that a film shooting was in progress.
