Madikeri: A young lady who was working as a data entry operator at the district hospital here committed suicide at the PG where she was residing in at Goulibidi on Friday June 14th. The deceased is identified as Aila Panda Vanaja (23) from Kaluru village.

It is learnt that the lady returned back to the PG for lunch on Friday afternoon and then committed suicide by hanging. However, the reason behind her taking the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.

The natural disaster which had occurred last year in Kodagu had completely destroyed her home. Vanaja, along with her father Ailapanda Laxmana, mother Rati and sister had shifted to a rented house.

After Vanaja received a data entry job at the district hospital on contract basis, her parents left back to Kaluru.
