‘Mahamastakabhisheka’ in Dharmasthala to be held in Feb’ 2019

Belthangady: The Mahamastakabhisheka of Bahubali at Shrikshetra Dharmasthala will be performed in February 2019, informed Dharmadhikari Dr. D Veerendra Heggade on September 10.
He was chairing a state-level meet, held at Vasanth Mahal auditorium here, regarding the preparations to be undertaken for the holy event.
The Mahamatakabhisheka would be performed, post the Panchakalyana ritual, in the presence of Acharya Vardhamana Sagarji Muni Maharaj and Pushpadant Sagar Muni Maharaj and an invitation would be extended to all religious heads of the Jain community in the state. Dr Heggade urged the women, youth to wholeheartedly participate in the ritual ceremonies.
In the meet, it was decided to appoint D Surendra Kumar as the Chief Convenor of the Mahamasthakabhisheka Samithi, D Harshendra Kumar as the Convenor, and K Mahaveera Ajri and V V Shetty as the Secretary.
