Mahamastakabhisheka: Laser show, grand cultural procession

Belthangady: The main attraction of the 10-day anointment of Lord Bahubali to be held at Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala will be a 15-minute laser show called ‘Bahubali Ithihasa’. The laser show will be inaugurated by the Minister for irrigation, Kannada and Culture D K Shivakumar on February 9 and the laser show that will be staged every day, said Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade speaking to reporters on Tuesday Jan 29th.
Cultural procession
The other attraction of the Mahamastakabhisheka will be a cultural procession depicting ‘Bharatheshwara Digvijaya’ on February 13 from the bathing ghat to the main temple dwara. The procession will include people wearing costumes of different regions and others dressed as solders depicting the return of a ‘Charkravarthi’ coming back to his capital from a conquest with his prize, said Mr Heggade.
Santha Sammelan
Santha Sammelan will be inaugurated by the former PM H D Deve Gowda on february 8th. The bebdictions will eb delivered by Swastishree Charukeerthi Bhattaraka swami of Sri Kshetra Shravanabelagola. Swastishree Lalithakeerthi Bhattaraka swami of Dhanashaale, Karkala will preside. Several other sages will also participate in it.
Mahamastakabhisheka
The Mahamastakabhisheka will be held under the guidance of Acharya Sri 108 Vardhaman Sagar Muni and Acharya Sri Vatsalyavaridhi 108 Pushpadantha Sagar Muni, and various Aryika mathaji’s during the day. Acharya Sri 108 Vardhaman Sagar muni and his disciples will lead the saints and will will make their ‘purapravesh’ to the Sri Kshetra on January 30, informed Mr Heggade.
