Malpe: In an incident that occurred two days ago, deep sea fishing boats from Malpe, which were conducting fishing at Ratnagiri and Malwan region of Maharashtra were looted of their caught fish.
The local fishermen of the said region committed this act alleging that the fishermen from Malpe were indulging in fishing close to the shore.
Earlier, the maharashtrian fishermen used to chase the fishing boats alleging that they were conducting fishing within 40 meters of the shore. Presently, they have resorted to looting the boats of their catch even though the fishing is being conducted well away from than 40 meters off the shore.
It is being said that about a week ago, they had caught two boats and looted it off of its catch as well as its equipment.
