Mumbai: Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh resigned on moral grounds hours after the Bombay High Court on Monday ordered a CBI probe into the allegations made by former Mumbai police chief Param Bir Singh
Earlier in the day, the high court directed the CBI to conduct a preliminary inquiry within 15 days into allegations of corruption and misconduct made by former Mumbai police chief Param Bir Singh against Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh.
