Mahila Cong protests against Modi govt

Mangaluru: The District Mahila Congress protested against the ’anti-people’ policies of the Modi led government at the Centre and also to oppose the soaring prices of fuel by staging a protest in front of the DCC office at Mallikatta here on May 26th.
District Mahila Congress president Shalet Pinto spoke on this occasion and said that the BJP which had staged protests when fuel prices were hiked during the previous UPA rule, has now fallen silent even when the prices have sky-rocketed. People have been hit hard due to Modi Government policies.
The Beti Bachao Beti Padao scheme of the Union Government and said it was nothing but a joke at a time when girls are highly unsafe in the country, she criticized.
Modi who used to describe himself as the Chowkidar has however not done anything when Indian soldiers were killed by Pakistan, said former minister UT Kahder.
