Mahindra tractor sales up 18% pc in April

New Delhi: Home-grown auto major Mahindra and Mahindra today reported 18 per cent jump in total tractor sales to 30,925 units in April.
It had sold 26,151 units in April last year, Mahindra and Mahindra said in a statement. Domestic sales were at 29,884 units as against 25,208 units in the year-ago month, up 19 per cent, it added. Exports last month stood at 1,041 units as against 943 units in the year-ago period, up 10 per cent, it said.
M&M President – Farm Equipment Sector, Rajesh Jejurikar said, “With the prediction of a normal monsoon we expect positive sentiments to continue and boost tractor demand in the coming months.”
