Shirva: Shankarapura jasmines saw a major fall in its prices with one Atte costing only a mere Rs 90 on Tuesday. The same was costing Rs 250 on June 15th. The higher price started falling on Sunday and Monday to Rs 110 and on Tuesday reached the lowest price as of this year. Conversely, on June 4th, the jasmine bore the highest price of the month at Rs 360 per Atte.

With the drop in the number of festivals, functions, celebrations and fairs and with the arrival of the monsoon, the demand for the flowers falls while the supply increases, hence the fall in prices.
