Mangaluru: In a major gaffe, Mangalore University misprinted question papers for the BBA semester exams that began on September 5.

The students of BBA second semester in 34 colleges of the varsity had their Kannada language exams on Monday. The question paper mentioned it was for the ‘second semester’. However, students were shocked to find questions printed from the syllabus prescribed for the first semester.

The error was immediately brought to the notice of the university’s registrar (examination) Prof. P L Dharma. The exam was canceled within half an hour of its commencement.

Prof Dharma said that the BBA second semester Kannada exam has been postponed due to errors in the question paper. A full report in this regard will be tabled in the next syndicate meeting. The concerned exam heads have been asked to bear the cost of printing the new question paper, he added.
